I’m Tericka, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner serving children, adolescents, adults, and older adults in Maryland. I support people navigating anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma-related symptoms, mood changes, stress, insomnia, and life transitions.

I bring nearly two decades of nursing experience across behavioral health, emergency medicine, crisis stabilization, community mental health, and nursing education.
My experience also includes therapy work with children, adolescents, and their families, as well as care on an inpatient behavioral health unit serving adults of all ages. These roles showed me how important it is to understand the whole person, along with the people who support them.
In emergency medicine, I saw how a heart attack, car accident, or unexpected medical event can become one of the hardest days of someone’s life. I also saw how the psychological impact was not always assessed and was often overlooked or minimized while immediate physical needs took priority, even though addressing the psychological impact is also an important part of recovery.
These experiences shaped my passion for holistic care and my collaborative approach. I take time to understand each person’s concerns, history, strengths, and goals before developing an individualized plan that is trauma-informed and culturally sensitive.
